Brand marks left on cattle hide. The mark is imprinted at the butt, shoulder or any other position by pressing a burning iron onto the skin as ownership badge. The burning iron marking is common for the inner corium and degrades the hide quality. As the brand mark causes a substantial economical loss and also involves an animal pain various alternatives are under way of the development.
